Marketing
At Professional Hospitality, we believe that we
produce an exceptional product, but it's important that we get our
product out in front of our potential customers in these competitive markets.
While the presence of a property sales staff definitely helps, it's not possible
for them to reach everyone.
Each day new advertising opportunities are presented
to the property management, all with a promise to help increase room sales. We
know that in many cases the General Manager does not have the time nor the ability
to research each request and make a sound decision on that expense.
"We look at all markting opportunities presented to us. What works for one market might not
work in another, and it's important that we see a large return from our advertising dollars"
Tom Allcox Advertising and Marketing Executive
A few responsibilities of the Marketing Department include:
- Analyzing all advertising requests to determine effectiveness for the property
- Assisting with ad approval, creation, placement
- Monitoring existing billboards and highway signs, and looking for other opportunities that may exist
- Understanding the various markets and seeking out advertising and marketing opportunities that may benefit the property
- Assisting properties with the creation and printing of property specific materials
"We need to continually monitor our property websites and look at the
various search engines that will direct the consumer to our sites."
Chad Theis Advertising and Marketing Executive
With the ever changing advancement of technology, so changes the world of marketing.
Various forms of media, from print to television, must now compete with the daily use of the internet
by consumers.
Recent figures reveal that 162 million Americans are online and of those approximately 64 million
now research their travel options online. Overnite accommodations have been purchased by
approximately 57 percent of online travel bookers (Road and Travel Magazine, 2005). Online
travel purchases continue to grow annually making the hotel's internet presence an important
marketing component. This increased demand in internet activity has not gone unnoticed by
Professional Hospitality.
The marketing team provides our hotels with the following internet services:
- Hotel website creation, promotion and compliance
- 3rd party website management (Travelocity, Expedia, Orbitz etc.)
- Online advertisement through multiple online channels and over 290 Search Engines
- Email Marketing
- Search Engine optimization
- Pay-Per-Click search engine campaigns
- Photography, video, and virtual tours
