Sales

At Professional Hospitality, we know that the best way to drive hotel revenue and increase market share is through sales. Professional Hospitality supervises the property sales staff under the direction of our Corporate Director of Sales. Having dedicated sales staff is vital to bringing new business to our hotels, and also means that our General Managers can spend their time making sure that the hotel they manage performs to the highest standards.

The direct benefits of a property sales person are:
  • Timely follow-up to all sales leads generated from the Chamber of Commerce, Convention and Visitors Bureau and other sources.
  • Establishment of relationships and acquisition of new corporate accounts.
  • Using specialized sales software, the sales staff enter all contacts, appointments, and acquired business giving the Corporate Director of Sales an efficient way to monitor their efforts.
  • Provides the property with an effective link to the community by keeping them on people's minds whenever they have lodging needs.
  • Attends trade shows, Chamber of Commerce events, Convention & Visitor's Bureau events and area business meetings.

"The sales people are very effective in generating new business leads for the property and at increasing property awareness"

Jamies Dressel
Corporate Director of Sales

The responsibilities of our sales people are further enhanced by our Corporate Director of Sales and the support they provide to the property staff. The Director of Sale's primary focus is to assist the property sales people in name awareness and generating new business.

The responsibilities of the Corporate Director of Sales includes:
  • Assists with training and follow-up of all sales people upon hire.
  • Frequently contacts sales staff to ensure that they are making the most of every interaction.
  • Assists with the planning and organization of area sales blitzes. This is an effective way to increase market share and generate leads.
  • Conducts quarterly property visits to evaluate the sales staff and establish future goals; ensuring we have the best team for increasing our business.
  • Semi-annually meets with all property sales staff allowing them to exchange ideas and work together to improve on their sales skills and learn from their peers.

SIGNATURE TRAINING
The Corporate Director of Sales also manages the Signature front desk training program. This program supplies daily sales training to the front desk staff. The system teaches the front desk staff how to up-sell customers and increase the daily revenue, while ensuring that no opportunities are missed. The dedicated sales staff is focused on new accounts; however, the front desk staff is the most critical sales team for any hotel. This is where the purchase is made and additional revenue can be captured.
